| ABOUT
ME |
I remember being fascinated by the films of Ray Harryhausen and Willis
O’Brien as a young kid. Movies such as MIGHTY JOE YOUNG and
THE SEVENTH VOYAGE OF SINBAD sparked an interest in animation and
effects in me as well as many of my friends who you will see in this
website.
Experimenting with film, stop motion animation and effects became
a way of life for me on weekends during my first year in high school.
I recruited my brother and neighborhood friends as actors and crew
members. We made many animation related movies and tests and learned
much through experience.
My big break came when I landed a job working and apprenticing under
Gene Warren Sr., formally one of the partners of PROJECT UNLIMITED,
INC. I could hardly believe that I would be working for Gene, one
of the top masters in the business. Through Gene and others such as
Tex Avery, I learned much about character animation via stop motion
animation.
To make a long story short, after about 32 years of working in stop
motion animation and traditional visual effects, I transitioned to
computer graphics. Most of what you will see in this website will
be photos of projects that I and others have been involved with since
the early 60’s. |
